Ride Times

The Auburn/Opelika area is home to many cyclists of all ages and skill levels, and there are several opportunities to get on two wheels, enjoy a ride and make some friends! Check out our list of weekly ride times:

  • MONDAY
  • 5:30 p.m. Where: Ogletree
    Elementary School
    Distance: 5 miles
    Difficulty: Easy
  • TUESDAY
  • 6:00 a.m.
    Where: Toomer’s Corner
    Distance: 20 miles
    Difficulty: Fast-paced training ride for serious cyclists
  • 6:00 p.m.
    CAMP Night Ride

    Where: Meet at Chewacla State Park at the lower pavilion. Most nights have two groups, beginner and advanced. When the days get shorter lights and gate code required. 
  • WEDNESDAY
  • 5:15 p.m.
    Wednesday Night Worlds

    Where: James Bros Bikes Auburn
    Distance: 28 miles, 2 race sections on Mrs James and County Road 188. Ride regroups after each race section.
    Difficulty: Advanced
  • 5:15 p.m.
    Wednesday Night Worlds

    Where: James Bros Bikes Auburn
    Distance: 22 miles
    Difficulty: Moderate
  • THURSDAY
  • 6:00 a.m.
    Where: Toomer’s Corner
    Distance: 20 miles
    Difficulty: Serious ride and structured workout (no drop) with a regroup point. Call the store for more information and ride leaders contact information.
  • 5:30 p.m.
    Where: Auburn High School parking lot across from the city tennis courts on Samford Ave.
    Distance: 15-20 miles
    Difficulty: Easy/moderate (no-drop). The group usually stops for dinner or ice cream after the ride.
  • 6:30 p.m.
    Cruise-N-Brews Ride

    When: 3rd Thursday of the month
    Where: James Bros Bikes Opelika
    Distance: 2-5 casual miles
    Difficulty: Very casual, family friendly social ride around downtown Opelika ending up at the Opelika store for drink specials.
  • SATURDAY
  • 7:45 a.m.
    Where: Leave from the Auburn High School parking lot across from the city tennis courts on Samford Ave.
    Distance: Will ride to Notasulga on Auburn days (around 40 miles) and to Huguley on Opelika days (around 50-60 miles). Stops at convenience stores for breaks.
    Difficulty: Moderate
  • 10:00 a.m.
    Base Camp Ride

    Ages 2-10 year olds. Check the CAMP Facebook page for latest news regarding the ride and any special events.
  • SUNDAY
  • Second Sunday of the month
    Where: Start time and place varies
    Distance: 15-50 miles (adjusts to rider ability)
    Difficulty: Easy/medium (no drop). The theme for this ride is adventure, so the group tries to ride in historic, scenic or interesting areas. Check the Second Sunday website, for more information and to get on the email list.
  • 2:30 p.m.
    Super Sunday Ride
    Where: Chewacla State Park 2nd Parking lot
    Difficulty: Family friendly youth ride.
